South African go politics

The Council of the South African Go Association decided to declare Victor Chow's nomination for election to its executive body invalid, and, hence, he will not be able to stand for election. For more, go here.

Perhaps, Henry David Thoreau said it best in his 1849 essay Civil Disobedience (which I bought over the weekend, attached to the end of Walden):

"Law never made man a whit more just; and by means of their respect for it, even the well disposed are daily made agents of injustice."
