Self-adulation

At some level, blogging is about patting oneself on the back. A blogger thinks she has something to say, that it is somehow interesting to others, and blah, blah, blah. Not to fall into above-mentioned failing (but actually embracing it like the dying love of my life), here's what the hacks at the Sunday Times think about me:

Tristen Taylor
He doth protest too much

HOGARTH knows that it must be hard to continue on the righteous path of ultra-leftism week in and week out, but this is no excuse for Mamparadom.

Tristen Taylor is the spokesman for an organisation called Jubilee SA which, despite its twinkly name, is devoted to whining, griping and moaning about anything anybody ever does.

So when Barclays bought Absa in the largest ever single foreign investment in this country, what did Jubilee SA do? They whined, griped and moaned!

Taylor said the deal was “entirely disagreeable”. Why? Because of Barclays’ “history” in South Africa.

Doesn’t he know that Barclays heeded the sanctions call and pulled out of South Africa in protest at apartheid?

I’ll bet this Mampara protests when you buy him a birthday present.
